Key features

• The compact screen is perfect for a bedside clock, alarms and weather at a glance.
• Sound is improved over earlier generations, fine for a bedroom or desk.
• The built-in camera lets you check in on home or pets remotely.
• It works as a mini photo frame when idle.

Best for

Bedrooms, desks and small kitchens in Alexa households.

Things to consider

• A camera in the bedroom isn't for everyone, so think about where it points.
• The small screen is cramped for video watching.
• It's an Alexa-only ecosystem.

Verdict
