Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2026 Watchlist: Products Worth Tracking

Black Friday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 30 this year, but the sales usually start earlier and the best way to win is to know what you want before the banners go up. This is not a list of deals; we do not know future prices and we will not guess. It is a watchlist of products on our site that are commonly shopped during the holiday season, plus a plan for telling a real discount from a fake one.

Affiliate disclosure: HashMonkey is reader-supported. We earn a commission if you buy through our Amazon links, at no extra cost to you. This guide is based on manufacturer and listing information and general buying knowledge; we have not tested these products hands-on, and we do not list prices because they change often.

Make your list before the sales start

Impulse buys are where Black Friday budgets disappear. Write down what you actually need or planned to give, set a maximum you are willing to pay for each item, and stick to it. Want more? Our guide to gaming gear gifts goes deeper. If something on your list goes on sale, great; if a random gadget is 60% off but you never wanted it, it is not a deal for you.

Add the products you are watching to your Amazon list or cart now so you can check them quickly on sale days. Prices can change several times during the week of Thanksgiving.

How to tell a real deal

A “was” price is only meaningful if the item actually sold at that price recently. Use a price-history tracker to see what a product has sold for over the past few months. A real deal is a price at or near the lowest it has been, not a discount off an inflated list price.

Compare the exact model number. Retailers sometimes sell special holiday bundles or slightly different versions that are hard to compare. For consoles and electronics, check what is in the box. For beauty, check the size in milliliters or ounces, because a cheaper “deal” may simply be a smaller bottle.

What usually gets discounted

Amazon’s own devices, such as Echo speakers, Fire TV sticks, Fire tablets, Blink cameras and eero routers, have historically been among the most heavily promoted items during holiday sales, so they are worth watching if you need one. Gaming accessories like controllers and headsets often see promotions, as do popular kitchen appliances. Brand-new consoles and just-released games are less predictable; sometimes the promotion is a bundle rather than a lower price.

Smart shopping on the day

Check the seller. “Ships from and sold by Amazon” or the brand’s official store is the safest choice for electronics. Read the return window; Amazon typically extends returns for holiday purchases, but confirm it on your order. If you are buying gifts, choose gift receipts and watch delivery dates, because December shipping gets busier every week.

Finally, do not panic-buy at midnight. Many deals run through Cyber Monday, and some prices return in mid-December.

Gift timing

If you are shopping for Christmas, Black Friday week is a sensible time to finish the big-ticket items and leave smaller stocking stuffers for later. See our Christmas gift guide by recipient for ideas organized by who you are buying for.

How we choose our picks

Every product in this guide already has its own page on HashMonkey, built from manufacturer and Amazon listing information. We pick items that fit the occasion, come from established listings, and cover a range of budgets and tastes. Commissions help keep the site running, but they do not change which products we include or how we describe them. If you spot an outdated detail, please let us know.
